You can then use your old internal drive as an external drive using the Enclosure. Then with your current system backed up to the Transcend Jet Drive, you take out your old drive and put the transcend inside your mac. I’ve just read it comes with its own software but not sure what that does. You then copy your current Yosemite system to that new drive using Time Machine, Migration Assistant or a third party solution such as Carbon Copy Cloner (my preferred app for creating bootable backups) or Super Duper.
